    ABOUT ME:

  HI I'M CHRISHINDA
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the states of Oregon and Washington. I am a mother, woman of color, and Veteran of the United States Navy. I know it can be difficult to find someone who will understand your voice. I am here to support those within my community to find that safe place to share your struggles, your fears, as well as your dreams. It is my belief that obtaining stable mental health is an important key to a successful life. I see my role as a guide to help you find a sense of purpose and peace in your life. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families, servicing adults and minors within the Child Welfare System, individual and family therapy. I have worked within the Juvenile justice system, providing support for those in LGBTQ+ community, and serving those with a wide range of mental health issues. I have served children and adults that have aged out of the foster care system.

WHO IS ISABELL?

My Expert Adviser

Isabell was my grandmother. I named my practice after her to honor her memory. She helped raised me to be the be woman that I am today, and her ability to make people feel welcomed and cared for, lives on with me today.  As I support you along your mental health journey, Isabell’s strength guides me.

MY APPROACH

I employ a client centered approach combined with utilizing the client's strengths along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior, Trauma Informed Care, and other modalities. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with my clients so that they feel safe and most of all heard.  All are welcomed; however, my practice is primarily aimed at treating African Americans and other underserved members of the BIPOC community who struggle with navigating boundaries, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, PTSD, domestic violence, family and relationship issues and many other emotional and mental health related issues.
